Being one of the first foreign companies to invest in the Chinese mainland, CIH had recognized the importance of corporate social responsibility and committed itself to initiatives that make a measurable difference for its customers, the wider community, and the industry as a whole. This dedication to promoting sustainable development and social harmony has been widely recognized by the general public.
In 2008, CGL launched the first national scale customer service center to be established by a real estate developer. The system, known as "Coastal 400", seamlessly integrated the various aspects of customer services management, including assembling complaints from customers, delegating assignments, tracking and monitoring the implementation of those assignments, and analyzing customer satisfaction levels. By getting close to every customer, CGL was able to improve the quality of its products and services simultaneously. Coastal 400, as CGL's initiative, had once again set a role model for the industry and is a testament to our determination to provide only the best quality services for our customers.
With sustainable development as a guiding principle at CGL, a strategic partnership with the PRC's National Housing Department—the first of its kind—was launched in 2014 to establish a "Healthy Housing" initiative that would be implemented across CGL's residential projects across the Greater China region, including in Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan, Shenyang and Dalian. The initiative involved integrating the concept of healthy living with technology and the construction process to fulfill the goal of providing homeowners with healthy homes and services that enhance their well-being.
As CIH grows and expands, it recognizes that corporate success and social welfare are interdependent and has moved beyond achieving business goals to assume responsibility for the wider community. For years, CIH has remained actively involved in non-profit, public welfare activities, including in the areas of urban infrastructure construction, education, post-disaster reconstruction, natural environment improvement, affordable housing development as well as other corporate philanthropy initiatives.
