Energy & Mining

The Group operates coal mines and have over 45 million tonnes in reserves. China is the largest consumer of coal in the world and the largest user of coal-derived electricity. With coal remaining an important source of power supply in China, the Group commits itself to integrating high-tech solutions as a means to improve work safety and mining efficiency.

Winemaking

The Group has acquired four châteaux in Bordeaux, France in 2013 (which were subsequently merged into two) and has been managing the châteaux with local producers, including in viticulture and the distribution of its red wine produce. The châteaux' storage systems meet international standards and has been exporting red wine of different vintages to the Greater China region via Hong Kong since 2014.
While its clientele has primarily been parties related to the Group in the past, including customers across the country as well as business partners at home and abroad, the red wines has been promoted externally since 2018 and are being increasingly accepted by China's nascent middle class representing millennials seeking cultural experiences very different from those of earlier generations. Consistent with its philosophy of promoting well-being and quality for its customers, the Group aims to deliver a meaningful wine drinking experience and an unrivalled standard of services for its customers.

Château L’Apolline

Region and Appellation : [Saint-Emilion Grand Cru]

L'Apolline is located in a well-known and sought-after sub-region in Bordeaux alongside iconic châteaux such as Château Cheval Blanc, Château Ausone, Château Angelus and Château Pavie, to name a few. For over a century, producers at L'Apolline has worked hard to produce high quality wines from growing, harvesting, and fermentation all the way to bottling.  

Château Boireau

Region and Appellation : [Saint-Emilion AOC]

Château les Grands Jays, now merged with Château Boireau, sits on the right bank of Bordeaux in Saint-Emilion and is one of the more reputable châteaux in the area with a long history dating back to over a hundred years. Covering an area of over 70 hectares, red wine produce from the château has been accredited and honoured with numerous gold and silver medals over the years, its quality being recognized by professional institutions and wine lovers alike. Most recently, its 2016 Montagne vintage was awarded a golden medal in the 63rd Concours des Grands Vins Macon.
